VBT# Just South of Biloxi - Lauren Hammond

Firstly though this is supposedly Book #4 in the series , it can be read as a stand-alone novel and pre-warning the book does end on a major cliffhanger and leaves you hanging halfway through the story which I found quite annoying as I was really getting into the book and then it was like -"all finished" and no warning. What we do glimpse from this books though and it is a quick read is that the main female character had an aversion to falling in love as falling in love only led to being hurt. This book follows Aurora or Rory's debutante year and the falling into love with her best friend Edward but with love Rory is about to prove her hypothesis that love can not only lead you to being hurt and betrayed but often when you love someone so much it can cause you to become crazy which leads the reader up to the night where Rory was taken away to the Asylum that fateful night of her Deb Ball and the night she spoke those three words "I love you" for the very first time only to have her love chucked back at her and turn into a powerful hurt.
If you love gothic type novels with a hint of Southern Charm then "Just South of the Biloxi" is the read for you, but then if you aren't one for major cliffhangers - then stay away .
