The Girl Without a Name

Review: The Girl Without a Name - Sandra Block - September 2015

Are you a fan of psychological thrillers ? Love reading your mysteries ? The Girl Without a Name by Sandra Block was a fast paced thriller set in a hospital in the Mental Wards. It focused on mainly Dr. Zoe Goldman and her boss Dr. Tad Berringer. During one of Zoe's rounds , a girl turns up in the ward - a 12/13 year old black girl who is catatonic . The girl can't remember anything and is called Jane Doe. As the story goes on, we read as Zoe makes it her priority to discover the girl's true identity and help her find her family as someone must be out looking for her and so begins her journey as an almost detective tracking down clues to Jane Doe's real identity. In doing so, we also discover that Zoe is currently seeing a shrink herself due to her ADHD and also we learn more about the RIKE Test and different patients in the ward . This helps the reader learn and understand more about Mental Illnesses and I found it quite interesting to have factual information in between a fictional thriller. The Girl Without a Name is not a book you will want to put down as you have to keep reading it as you want to know who Jane Doe is and how she turned up in the hospital and not to spoil it for you readers but The Girl with No Name has a major and when I say major, I mean MAJOR twist at the end of the book which I totally did not see coming .
The Girl with No Name by Sandra Block,is one of the best thrillers that I have read for 2015 and readers , you will not be disappointed.
