Review: Courted - Celia Cohen- June 1997

As a fan of sports novels and tennis in particular , I downloaded Courted and when I opened it I was definitely in for an eye-opener novel as I wasn't sure to exactly expect . Turns out that Courted features Allie - a champion on the Wimbledon court , who is here for a tennis tournament. She has been given Officer Wendy Kotter as her escort. As the story goes along, we discover that Wendy is a lesbian and later on Allie -our tennis player bats for the same team and so does Wendy's boss - the police Captain. In this book we have a slight story about the tennis player, but in fact the majority of the book was rehashing Wendy's life story about how she became a police officer and her different relationships which funny enough were all with athletes, seems our Officer Kotter has a thing for the sports players.  Courted was quite a quick read and read more like a novella , than an actual novel. So if you love Tennis and don't mind reading about a bunch of Lesibians, then Courted by Celia Cohen is the read for you.
