Review: When We Met - Susan Mallery

Review: When We Met - Book #13 Fool's Gold - Susan Mallery - April 2014

Are you sick of reading New Adult romances and wanting stories where the characters are in their 30+ ? Do you love reading stories and finding series that are set in small-town communities ? When We Met is Book #13 in Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series but can be read as a Stand-alone novel like the previous in the series. This story introduces us to Taryn Crawford who was married to a NFL Footballer but when things got a tad intense they separated , but they always were good friends. Now her ex-husband Jack now retired along with two of his NFL also retired buddies and Taryn own their own PR company called "Score", they  have just moved to Fool's Gold after the guys loved the small community feel. The other main character is Angel Whittaker , he is working at CDS as a Security detail and has been watching Taryn the last couple of months -trying to get the courage up to ask her out. As the story goes on, we read as the chemistry between Taryn and Angel flick back n forth. This book was defintely the type that if you are looking for a contemporary romance with an HEA , then Susan Mallery's Fool's Gold series and "When We Met" should be on your tbr list. Reading this book also made me think of Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove Series mixed with the TV Show's Everwood and Hart of Dixie with that smalltown community feel and the last part I loved was the fact that the Mayor was heading to New Zealand for a holiday - that made me chuckle.
