Review: The Destiny of Violet and Luke - Book #1 Violet and Luke and Book #3 The Coincidence - Jessica Sorensen - July 2014

One of my favourite things when I discover new authors is that all their series have a bit of a cross-over feel to them. With the stories of Violet and Luke, we were introduced briefly to these two characters in the series The Coincidence which featured the love story of Callie and Kayden.  Luke is Kayden's best friend and roommate and Violet is Callie's roommate. The history though goes a bit deeper than that and this book will really confirm to readers that the whole "six degrees or less of separation" really rings true. Remember in Callie's story , that she was raped by Caleb. Turns out Caleb also raped Luke's sister Amy and this is the reason behind her suicide. 
Growing up , both Violet and Luke have not had the easiest of lives and prefer to be the "invisible ones' but these two will soon discover that life has a pretty funked up way of meeting your soulmates and your destiny and that these two despite their pasts and families are supposed to be together.  However , no-one ever said life was easy and a cake-walk but can these two get over their past issues and slowly let down some of their walls to let each other in ? Though what will happen when it is discovered that Luke is connected somehow to the worst moment of Violet's life ? 
Will this change their relationship for the worst ? Will Violet be able to ever look at Luke the same way or will they realise that this is the moment that they discover that they actually need one another and that right now, they need each other more than anything ?
Find out in another amazing book by one of my favourite New Adult authors Jessica Sorensen and I look forward in seeing where Violet and Luke's lives head and OMG the way that the book ended - I want to see what happens and whether the issue it finished on will be more focused on in the sequel - if there is to be one.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
