Review: Hard Glamour - Book #1 Glamour Series - Maggie Marr - January 2014

After losing the only person she had, Lane decides that it's now time to live her life for herself and not for the way others think she should be. It's time to start a new normal life for herself. This part made me tear up as I have recently lost my mother in the last couple of weeks. I just am lucky enough to still have my dad whereas Lane - the character in the book had no-one. Lane heads to LA -the land of movie stars as she has been given a job at an Agency. Though her first experiences aren't as wonderful as she had hoped for when she accidentally drives onto a closed set and supposedly almost runs over the main male lead. To top that off, when she gets to the agency, she discovers that her position has been given away. Homeless and jobless, Lane walks out defeated but not for long when she meets Choo - a guy with connections and a brother who needs a new reader. Choo hooks Lane up with a job , but all starts to crumble when she discovers Choo's brother is the guy she almost ran over that morning.As the story goes on though, we discover that Choo and the brother -Dillon lives haven't always been easy and of course passions spark between Lane and Dillon , however is Lane prepared to share Dillon with the rest of the world as sometimes being a Hollywood heartthrob and star comes with choices you can't say no to , no matter how much you want too. Will Lane leave Dillon to be free and push his career further or will Dillon choose Lane as his forever girl and work out compromises for his career as a star ?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
