Review: The Best Kept Secret in Normandy - Liz R. Newman - January 2013

Tammy and Ceci are on their way to Paris on the plane for a girls weekend. Tammy is beautiful and stunning and always finds herself surrounded by men. Ceci on the other hand feels like the DUFF - the designated ugly fat friend and feels overweight and unbeautiful. When on the plane , she is rejected and commented about behind her back, her self esteem drops down the bottom of the scale. Seeing this the male flight attendant Jacques gives her address to a secret shop in Normandy and tells her to tell the owner known as M.N that Jacques from Cherry sent her. Headed to the shop, she discovers a shop not filled with tailored dresses but antiques. Here she finds a glass slipper from Cinderella , after trying it on she discovers herself as a perfect princess. With a perfect princess body she meet Louis , but what will happen when she goes back to normal. Will Louis still love her for the way she is ? This book was a very quick read at only four chapters and is a mixture between the films Shallow Hal but in an opposite way and the movie The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants.
