Review: Faking Normal - Courtney C. Stevens

Review: Faking Normal - Courtney C. Stevens - February 2014

Imagine if you had to keep a big secret knowing that it was killing you inside but the consequences of the secret getting out would hurt more people than just yourself ? That the effect of the secret getting out would cause a domino chain of events.  So with only one thing left to do , you have to fake normalcy. Alexi Littrell was hurt over summer but never said anything about who it was that hurt her. Bodee aka The Kool-Aid Kid due to his ever changing hair colours that he dyes using Kool Aid packets also suffered a tragedy this summer. He watched his father murder his mother in cold blood. Each of these two are going to have to stay strong and figure out a way to act and fake being normal if they want to make it through the school year. Enter the idea of Captain Lyric - both Bodee and Alexi sit during different periods at the same desk , though none of them realise . Each lesson one of them will either A) write new song lyrics and B) finish off the previous lyrics . The lyrics represent their feelings, emotions, days actions , a seductive conversation between the two of them. What happens when Bodee begins to see through Alexis's facade , can he help her confront her demons and tell the truth of what happened to her and in tune Can Alexi help Bodee gain the courage he needs to testify against his dad in his mother's murder case ?
Find out in an Upcoming Feb 2014 release by Courtney C. Stevens.
