Review: Hopeless - Colleen Hoover

Review: Hopeless -Book #1 Hopeless Series - Colleen Hoover - December 2012

Sky Davies has grown up a pretty much sheltered life and can't remember anything but snippets from her life before five years old when she was adopted by Karen. All her life, Karen has had strict rules and homeschooled Sky until Sky makes a request pushed on by her best friend Six aka Seven. For her senior year, she wishes to attend public school. Unfortunately for Sky, it will be anything but easy as due to Six's reputation and Sky being Six's best friend - she has earned herself the reputation of being a slut etc. With Six being in Italy on an exchange, Sky finds friends in Breckin - a Gay Mormon. Then from there on , she stops by the supermarket and meets Holder - a guy who seems to have about five different personality types and she's finds herself not only attracted to him but also he scares her as he is the most intense person she has ever met. As the story goes along, we read as the friendship between Breckin and Sky stays strong and then Sky's relationship with Holder continues. However , Holder is hiding a secret - one that will connect him to Sky's past pre-adoption period and one that will have Sky questioning everyone she knows and everything she has ever thought was the truth. How are Holder and Sky connected and will he still be standing by her when she realises that he is the one she needs the most ?
I have to say readers, if you love Edgy New Adult books which will have your emotions played with and ones that will draw you in and you can't put them down - then Colleen Hoover is the author for you.
