Review: Gone - James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge

Review: Gone - Book #6 Det. Michael Bennett Series - James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge - September 2013

At the end of the last book in the Michael Bennett series "I , Michael Bennett" readers held their breaths in anticipation to see what would happen next as the drug lord Manuel Perrine had escaped and was now after Michael and his family. Everyone wondered whether Mary Catherine -  the nanny would follow Michael and his family or whether that was the end of Mary Catherine in the series. Now readers , can release their breaths and get stuck into Book #6 "Gone" which will answer many of those questions left unanswered at the end of Book #5. Michael Bennett and his family have been in the Witness Protection programme hoping to keep safe from Manuel Perrine's death threats. It seems though , meanwhile the Bennetts are in hiding, Manuel is out and about killing all opposing drug cartel lords and criminal families. It's a mass war going out there in the real world and no-one is safe. Only one person has ever successfully captured Manuel and now they need that one person back. Will Michael take the case even though it will put his family at greater risk or knowing that his family is at risk be the incentive for Michael to finally kill the drug lord once and for all and put not only his family's safety at ease but also the rest of New York ?
As always the Michael Bennett series is a wonderful read for those who love James Patterson's Alex Cross and Jack Morgan series.
