Review: Date with the Dead - Book #1 Ripsters Series - Chris Myers - March 2013

Jolie Livingston could be just like your average sixteen-year old girl but she isn't , ever since Jolie was a baby she has had the ability to not only see the dead but communicate with them. Think Jennifer Love-Hewitt in The Ghost Whisperer or Patricia Arquette in The Medium . When Jolie and her mum move into her Aunt's house after her Aunt Ophelia's death , Jolie can't help but think that things aren't as they seem in Plymouth. Especially when she is called to do a ghost exorcism and help a ghost who is causing real danger to the household. It is here she meets Reece - a guy who is allergic to ghosts, Brit aka Pretty in Pink - she can also see ghosts and currently like Jolie has with Drew - her ghostly counterpart , Britney has a dead soldier attached to her. Soon Jolie will realise that nearly all the teens in the town have some sort of psychic ability. Has Jolie finally found a group of friends whom she can fit in with and will solving the case of the haunted house , be her ticket into the exclusive group - The Paranormal Guild ?
