Review: The Adoration of Jenna Fox - Book #1 Fox Series - Mary E. Pearson - April 2008
Years ago, reading books about Futuristic societies and cyberpunk wasn't very popular so when The Adoration of Jenna Fox came out I read it and loved the concept. Just recently at the library , we received Book #2 in this series, so since it had been like yonks since I had read The Adoration of Jenna Fox, I thought I would give it another go. The Adoration of Jenna Fox is a book that is a cross between Meg Cabot's Airhead, Being Nikki series and Robin Wasserman's Frozen etc - Lila's story. This story reads of Jenna Fox whom at seventeen as re-awoken from being in a coma for a year , however things feel strange as she can't remember bits of her past and so Jenna goes searching but what she will discover will be more stranger than reality. As "the" Jenna Fox is only really 10% of her past self ? What has happened and how is it that she can feel and remember bits from her life ?
An awesome mix of what it's like to re-awake from tragedy, have an amnesiac life and a touch of science fiction and dystopian.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
