Review: Love in a Nutshell - Janet Evanovich and Dorien Kelly - January 2012
As a fan of her Stephanie Plum series and the one Diesel Tucker novel I've read , I have decided to go on a Janey Evanovich spree and check out her other novels. The first one up was Love in A Nutshell co-authored by Dorien Kelly. Love in A Nutshell takes us into the world of Kate Appleton whom has lost everything she had spent her life gaining from her job to her husband and even her house and pet dog Stella. With nowhere else to go, Kate decides to head to the family's summer Lake House in Keenan's Harbour also known as "The Nutshell". Here Kate dreams of turning her old family home into a Bed and Breakfast, but of course with the dreams comes the desperate need for money which lands her to the town's microbrewey where she has just been hired as a undercover PI. Someone is targeting the brewery and owner Matt wants the case solved before they sabotage his business so bad that it will be the end of it. The other operation he has going on is that he hopes to open a new restaurant in the Summer, the downside is that the place he has in mind is Kate's family home "The Nutshell". So what will it be - Will Kate get her B and B or will Matt recieve the land for his new restaurant ? When sparks fly and the truth comes out about Matt's intentions , will Kate who is wary of guys to begin with - lump him in the same boat as her ex-husband or will he prove to be a different kettle of fish ?
Find out in this fun light-hearted humourous mystery/ chick-lit/ romance novel by an amazing duo Janet Evanovich and Dorien Kelly.
