Review: The Hallowed Ones - Laura Bickle

What would have once been a taboo topic has now reached a new level in YA literature , proud to present a new combination of genres that many would have never thought of doing is author Laura Bickle with her new series "The Hallowed Ones".
Review: The Hallowed Ones - Book #1 The Hallowed Ones Series - Laura Bickle - September 2012
Author Laura Bickle has done what others thought was impossible or something that they would never have ever dreamt of doing , she has combined the world of Amish Christian Fiction with the Supernatural world of Vampires. An Interesting mix , I was wondering how it was going to work as Hello, they are like as far apart as possible but surprisingly enough it worked wonders. The Hallowed Ones is set in an Amish town , that becomes alerted to an outbreak that is happening in the Outsider world. The outbreak is that Vampires are running around killing people.  For the meanwhile they are safe in their community but Katie when she takes in an injured outsider, she starts to realise that it is only a matter of time before her Amish village will be attacked. Somebody has let the Vampires in and now one by one people in Katie's Amish village are dying and being slaughtered by the Vampires. Can Katie with the help of her new Englischer friend and the Hexmeister - one of the Amish outcasts band together to save their village?
An amazing and fun read and something for everyone and I look forward to reading the next book which gets released in September :)
