Platinum - Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Continuing in the tradition of our October Halloween reads , I have for you an older book and one that I didn't realise until halfway reading it , that I had already read it a few years back. This novel falls into our little October Halloween category as it features ghosts , gift of sight - visions etc and body possession.

                                         Review : Platinum - Jennifer Lynn Barnes - 2007

I am......... Who am I ? I am Lilah Covington , the most popular girl in school. We are the cool girls, the ones all the non's want to be . The nons are the geeks ,social outcasts or lately I have been Brianna - a centuries old truthseer - someone with the gift of sight and visions and I have been seeing things , ghosts , visions of the past etc .For Lilah , she has always been forewarned that one day , she may inherit the family gift of sight and that day has come unfortunately with the gift of sight comes a hot guy who is a ghost but not - he claims he isn't dead but I'm the only one who can see him. As the story gets on , Lilah realises that the ghost guy Cade is actually a spirit that is reincarnated every 10years to kill for his loved one - Helen and it's up to Lilah to stop Cade and Helen otherwise Lilah's current jock boyfriend Brock's time on earth will be over as he's their next victim. If this wasn't enough for Lilah to handle , her mother is getting re-married and this means inheriting a couple of nons as cousins and they aren't just any normal nons but they both have gift of sights - Lexie can see the truth and Lissy can see peoples auras. Can Lilah continue holding the facade of popular girl and her secret life with the gift of sight or will both worlds end up crashing and end up leaving Lilah the decision to choose one or the other - Her old life or the new , which doesn't seem to be going away ?
