Review : I'd Know You Anywhere - Laura Lippman - September 2010

The cover in the picture doesn't actually give the actual cover of the book any justice as the book's cover is done with a metallic holographic look to it , maybe in a few more years our computers will be able to generate holographic book covers for us all.
I'd know you anywhere covers the story of Walter Bowman , a convicted serial killer and rapist and the last few months leading up to his time on death row. Eliza Benedict has spent a lifetime trying to escape and erase her past as the only one to not have been killed by Walter Bowman. After appearing in the society papers with her husband at same flash do , Walter contacts Eliza and from then on the story reflects between today's world as Eliza Benedict- mother of two and wife , trying to piece together -why all of a sudden Walter wants to talk to her and back to the year 1985 when 15 yr old Elizabeth Lerner was kidnapped and held for six weeks.
This novel intertwines both time periods perfectly and creatively crafted from outfits to music and to the way the societies re-acted to things.
Laura Lippman is a must-read for all fans of the mystery/thriller genre.
