As Lie the Dead - Kelly Meding

As Lie the Dead (Dreg City, Book 2)
With the rise of different supernatural stories, I thought I would go on a supernatural expedition and try out a few new authors that looked interesting.

Review : As Lie the Dead - Kelly Meding - 2010 ( Book #2 - Dreg City Series)

Evangeline aka Evy Stone was killed and like Jesus resurrected after three days. Now returning in the body of deceased suicide committer Chalice Frost. However when Evy was resurrected she came back with powers of healing and teleportation. It's revenge on both sides as the hunters are attacked by the Owlkins and the Triads decide to retaliate and kill, for those who didn't read Three Days to Dead -the Owlkins were the ones who killed Hunter Evy Stone.
Evy blames herself for the annihilation while she and her former handler Wyatt Truman try to prevent further carnage as they believe Brass is behind the assaults. Feeling some regret as to what happened to the shape shifters due to what she believes were attacks on her, Evy vows to keep their survivors safe and take down Brass. As an assassin continues to target her and anyone in her inner circle or even strangers who  happen to be near her, she will soon realize how much she underestimated the problem.
Can Evy help save her friends and those around her or will more die in order for the Owlkins to assassinate Evy ?
As Lie the Dead is in some way quite a sad book as we read how Evy suffers remorse and guilt for those who have been killed. This factor adds a new twist on the Supernatural genre and other books I have read and enjoyed. Authoress Kelly Meding is definitely an author to add to your must read piles.
