The Orb of Azcera -Tony Van Sant

Are you a fan of the Medieval world of Fantasy with Knights in Shining armour - Knights of the Round table and what about the futuristic Sci-Fi world think Star Trek and the Matrix type movies that have set a standard for the unreal and futuristic worlds. Who Knows though, maybe one day our world could actually be like The Jetsons - Cars replaced by Hovercrafts.

Today's review is a fantasy/sci-fi book titled 'The Orb of Azcera" by author Tony Van Sant.

Years ago , a valiant Knight by the name of Agostine slayed what was known as the beast , his skin was crafted into a magical orb like object and once it was discovered how powerful the object was and what a weapon it could become , it was cast out and mysteriouly disappeared from the face of the earth. It was to sit for a thousand years of doormancy and nobody knowing it was there for if it was ever come across it could provide deadly consequences.
The Orb of Azcera has been revealed and discovered in it's hiding place. This Orb when used to it's full potential can destory those around it . When the Lieutenant Cale Tanner and his Special Ops team ( think Army/Marine Types) quickly discover the powerful and threatning nature of the mysterious orb after failing to arrest its bearer and keeper, General Thadeon Marloc. In order to restore hope for themselves and their people, Lieutenant Cale Tanner and his Special Ops Team must unlock the secrets of a world long since forgotten by all human race. However they are in for a nasty suprise as what they are about to discover defies all practical logic, and soon the lines between history and legend, between facts and myth, are quickly blurred.- What will happen to their world as the balance between what was reality and fantasy is about to become as unclear as the sun on a rainy day.
The Orb of Azcera is filled with an wonderful array of characters , that help keep the novel alive and kicking with action-packed scenes that once you get hooked the pages start to flyby quickly and the next thing you know you have reached the finish, This novel is rumoured to be the start of a Trilogy and if the rest of the books are anything like The Orb of Azcera , it is a trilogy to keep an eye out for, and who knows at the next sci-fi/fantasy convention someone might be dressed up as the Knight Agostine or Lieutenant Cale Tanner.
